• 2019/20 Membership forms and Committee Nomination forms available - AGM will be held on Tues Sept 17th at 5.30pm, at 19 Sedgewick St.

1st - Community Shed - open 10am-4pm, also Mon & Tues. each week for woodwork.
- Hackerspace - electronics, computers, 3D printing and gadgetry from 7.30pm (fortnightly)

2nd -Week 1 of ‘Five Hot Nights in August’ - 5-7pm - opportunity to hot desk with computers (30min blocks), hot food, hot conversations, for a hot $5pp.

3rd - Laughter Yoga - at HIRL, 9.30am, weekly except for market weekend.
- Saturday Quilt & Craft from 10am

4th,5th & 6th - Sheepvention - in the Homepaddock, 3 free children’s activities per day, lucky dips, toys, come & try craft table, gift items, etc. Come visit!

5th - Monday craft & chat from 10am (weekly)

6th - Line Dancing - weekly at Masonic Centre, 9.30am-12noon
- Genealogy - what have you found in your family tree? - 1-2.30pm
- Euchre -7.30pm “Sheepvention prize night” - $ 3pp + supper to share

7th - Quilting Quarters - from 10am (weekly)

9th - ‘T & C’ - trivia,crosswords, puzzles and mind teasers between 10 - 11.30am at Lemon Myrtle Café, Gray St.
- Week 2 of ‘Five Hot Nights in August’ - 5-7pm - hot desk, hot food, etc. $5pp.

13th - ATO TAX Help appointments commence until Oct 31.

- Need help with a digital device? Our volunteer may be able to assist between 1-2.30pm
- MK Consultants meet at 6.15pm

14th - ‘Time for Yarn’ - 7.30pm byo knit, crochet or yarn project (fortnightly)

15th - Hackerspace from 7.30pm.(fortnightly)

16th - Week 3 of ‘Five Hot Nights in August’ - hot desk in 30 min blocks, hot food, hot topics, $5pp

20th - Volunteer available between 1-2.30pm to assist with your digital device queries
- Euchre - 7.30pm, supper to share (fortnightly)

23rd - Week 4 of ‘Five Hot Nights in August’ - 5-7pm, hot food, hot conversation, and computer hot desk, $5pp

26th - Lunch day

27th - Volunteer available to assist with digital device queries 1-2.30pm

28th - Time for Yarn from 7.30pm - byo knit, yarn or crochet project (fortnightly)

29th - Hackerspace from 7.30pm

30th - Week 5 of ‘Five Hot Nights in August’ -5-7pm - hot food, hot desk and hot topics, $5pp.

31st - HIRL Farmers & Craft market 9-12.

Regular Activity Details


Quilting Quarters 

Enjoy a group setting and quilt at your own pace with your own project.

Wednesday 10.00am - 3.00pm

Cost $3.00 per session, some materials can be purchased


Saturday Quilt 'n' Craft

Wind down at the end of the week with a leisurely quilt and/or craft session. BYO projects and lunch, Beginners welcome. T/C provided.

Dates - 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month from February through to December.

Cost $3 per session


Community Shed

Woodwork equipment and tools available to assist you in making a project item eg. garden seat, bookcase, chopping board etc.

Dates - Every Tuesday 10am - 3.30pm and Thursday from 1pm - 3.30pm.

Venue: Community Shed, behind HCH

Cost $2.50 per session


Euchre Card nights 

Fortnightly on Tuesdays at 7.30pm

Cost $3.00 per person, please bring supper to share


Community Volunteers

Each Tuesday morning between 10am and 12 noon, be involved in a voluntary community service for other community organisations and groups. Morning tea provided


Community Lunch

The Community House usually has a luncheon on the last Monday of each month. A two course meal is available for $5.00 per person.

Bookings are essential


Line dancing

Get your feet tapping and your boots scooting at our weekly line dancing classes.

Tuesday 9.30am - 12 noon except during school holidays.

Beginners and children's classes also offered.

Community members are welcome to discuss becoming a registered volunteer with Debra.


Please note, classes will not proceed if there are insufficient numbers. Fees will be refunded in full if HCH cancels a course. There will be no refunds after a course has commenced.
